Identity as a Mediator of Thinking
September 02, 2013
In our deep structures are our values, beliefs, identity, and mental models that define us as unique human beings. As you enter this next year, take some time to examine how coaching is fitting into your life.
As you think about your professional work in the last year, what kinds of gains have you made as a coach?
Which maps are you using frequently and where is your comfort level with each?
Which of the tools of pausing, paraphrasing, and posing questions are becoming most automatic for you?
What impact are you seeing in your work as a result of your coaching?
How would you compare your skill level compared to this time last year?
How intentional have you become and how are you developing congruence with your intentions?
Take a few moments to reflect on your identity as a mediator of thinking? What evidence do you have about your development?
