Training Associates

Ben is an Adaptive Schools Training Associate whose full-time role is the Director of Special Education for the Charlevoix-Emmet Intermediate School District in Charlevoix, Michigan. Ben�s background includes educational experience in a variety of roles. To begin his career he worked as a special education teacher at the secondary level with a primary focus on mathematics instruction. After leaving the classroom, he worked as a special education supervisor responsible for oversight of center-based classrooms and itinerant staff services.

Ben has a utilized his teaching experience and training in the Adaptive Schools work to become an effective presenter and facilitator for groups large and small. He has helped groups develop strategic plans, continuous improvement goals, and has facilitated data dialogue conversations with school and community teams.

Ben holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Elementary Education, a Master of Arts Degree in Special Education and an Educational Specialist Degree in Educational Administration, all from Saginaw Valley State University.
