Training Associates

Debra Barry has served as an educator since 1995. Her professional experience spans multiple instructional contexts, including K-5th grade, middle school social studies, and Title I mathematics, as well as roles as an instructional coach and math strategist.

In 2014, Debra successfully secured grant funding for her district to design and implement a Teacher Leadership Program—the first initiative of its kind in her eastern Iowa district. The program established structured leadership pathways for teachers seeking to extend their professional influence beyond the classroom without pursuing administrative roles. Debra served as the Teacher Leadership Program Coordinator, focusing on building instructional capacity, fostering self-directed thinking, and supporting teacher leadership development.

Currently, Debra works as an instructional coach, and she is the founder and owner of Cultivate Your Coaching, LLC, where she provides professional learning and leadership coaching for instructional coaches, teachers, and administrators. She is a Certified Thinking Collaborative Cognitive Coaching℠ Training Associate and Mentor and serves as a consultant for the Institute of Habits of Mind.
