Lucinda Wolters

Lucinda Wolters is a Training Associate for Adaptive Schools and an experienced elementary school principal with a passion for fostering effective collaborative communities. With over a decade of experience in school administration, Dr. Wolters has been a steadfast advocate for educational leadership that empowers both teachers and students.

Holding a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Victoria (BC), a Master’s degree from Royal Roads University, and a Doctorate from the University of Kansas, Lucinda combines strong academic credentials with a practical, hands-on approach to educational leadership.

Driven by a commitment to build cohesive, purposeful learning environments, Lucinda’s doctoral research explored the influence of Adaptive Schools on the development of principals' leadership identities. This research earned the Outstanding Dissertation Award from Thinking Collaborative in 2023, underscoring the value of collaborative leadership in today’s schools.

As an advocate for Adaptive Schools, Dr. Wolters is dedicated to unifying diverse communities around a shared vision of relevant, engaging, and transformative learning. With a strong belief in the power of collaboration and community, she is committed to helping schools create learning environments that prepare students for the challenges of tomorrow’s world.

In addition to her work in education, Lucinda Wolters is the host of the Small Fires Podcast, where she has explored themes of leadership, learning, and community building. Through the podcast, she engages in meaningful conversations with experts and thought leaders related to the Adaptive Schools work, sharing insights to inspire positive change in education and beyond.
