Training Associates

Patronella (Nelli) Koster Is an independent consultant working as a cognitive coach, leadership and literacy trainer and a Training Associate for Cognitive Coaching Seminars Foundation Training. Nelli serves as a coach to maximize effective individual, team and organizational thinking. She was instrumental in developing processes and protocols for Classroom Learning Labs, a collaborative teacher practice focused on facilitated conversations around research based instructional practices. She continues to support schools and districts in developing these practices.

Nelli is a graduate from Western Michigan University with an elementary teaching degree in regular and special education; she has her Masters Degree from Grand Valley University focused on the teaching of Learning Disabled students. She continued to take classes over the years, developing her knowledge and understanding around research based literacy practices. During Nelli’s 30 year tenure as a teacher, she held positions in special and regular education in upper elementary and middle school. She sought out multiple leadership opportunities that developed her passion for supporting growth in students and adults.

For the last 14 years Nelli has continued to expand her toolkit supporting teachers, coaches, administrators and districts Supporting growth around literacy and leadership has become the work that sustains and challenges Nelli.
