Sara has spent two decades as a community and school social worker, educator and policy advisor. She has facilitated social emotional learning, mindfulness, and positive behavior support at both the district, school and state levels. She has served in urban, diverse neighborhoods, helping children and families connect to opportunities and realize their full potential. Currently, she is a policy advisor for Department of Public Instructor. Her training background includes Adaptive Schools, Positive Behavior Supports and Intervention, Responsive Classrooms, Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction, and Call to Care. She is also the founder of Cedarwood Healing, where she practices equine gestalt coaching and teaches mindfulness.
