Hi Michael, Here are two books i might recommend. Raising An Emotionally Intelligent Child by John Gottman. He references the idea of emotional coaching, even with our children.
I also think Stephen Porges book on The Pocket Guide To The Polyvagal Theory: The Transformative Power of Feeling Safe has many connections to Cognitive Coaching and SEL.
